Empowering CSOs for consumer protection and inclusive trade in Tanzania.
Enhancing civil society participation and influence in trade in Tanzania, focusing on consumer protection and inclusive trade.
Program Overview
The Civil Society for Inclusive and Consumer-Centric Trade in Tanzania Project in Tanzania Project is a three year initiative running from March 2024 to March 2027. This programme is dedicated to strengthening the voice and influence of civil society in shaping a fair and inclusive trade environment. We work to ensure that trade not only fuels economic growth but also protects consumers and benefits every Tanzanian.
Through this project, we are working to create a stronger and more responsive consumer protection framework while advancing fair and equitable access to trade opportunities for all. Civil society organizations are at the centre of this transformation, by empowering civil society to advocate for consumer rights and inclusive trade, we are laying the foundation for growth that is fair, climate smart, and truly people centered.
Our Impact Across Tanzania
By 2027, we envision trade is more inclusive and equitable, consumer protection is robust and effective, and civil society plays a pivotal role in advocating for consumer rights, amplifying voices, and shaping policies that foster sustainable development. This initiative spans diverse regions including Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Mbeya, Songwe, Tanga, and Zanzibar ensuring nationwide impact driven by local action and ownership.
