Consultant needed to develop Civil Society Organisations’ advocacy and communications strategy for East African Regional integration

The FCS with the support from TradeMark East Africa is implementing a project “Enhancing Citizens Understanding, Engagement and Participation in East African Regional Integration Processes”. The project among other things aims to increase understanding level of citizens on East African Regional Integration agenda; and on the available opportunities and benefits of regional Integration, more engagement and realization of such benefits. Through the project, improved relationships, partnership and networking on EAC interventions among Tanzanian CSOs is also expected. With enhanced capacities, CSOs will manage to improve the quality of their advocacy campaigns for policy changes.   

To achieve such objectives the Foundation has set aside funds to develop the CSOs Advocacy and Communication Strategy on East African Regional Integration Agenda.  


OBJECTIVE
The objective of this assignment is to develop CSOs Advocacy and Communication Strategy to guide advocacy campaigns and  awareness creation programmes on East African Regional Integration related issues.

The Foundation for Civil Society now invites eligible consultancy firms to indicate their interests in developing the CSOs Advocacy and Communications Strategy for East African Regional Integration.

Interested consultancy firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to undertake consultancy (provide information on the core business  and years in business, technical and managerial capability of the firm, provide information on qualifications of  proposed consultants (maximum 3),  demonstrated experience of undertaking similar assignments,  experience of executing at least two (2) projects of similar nature in the past five years, A sound understanding of  East African Regional Integration and Tanzanian Civil Society sector.  
 
SUBMISSION  
The deadline for submission of Expression of Interest will be  31st March 2014 at 03:30 pm by hand or courier in a plain sealed envelope clearly marked “EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO DEVELOP CSOs ADVOCACY AND COMMUNICATION STRATEGY FOR EAST AFRICAN REGIONAL INTEGRATION” to the address below.
Late submissions for whatever reason will be rejected. Interested consultancy firms  may obtain further information from the Foundation’s office from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm on Mondays to Fridays except on public holidays or may download Terms of Reference for this consultancy from the FCS website: www.thefoundation-tz.org .
