Ngara enlightened on current constitution

Residents of Ngara district have got an opportunity to get more acquainted with the current constitution, thanks to an initiative by the district’s CSOs.
The Ngara District Civil Society Organisations Network (Nangonet) recently distributed more than 250 copies of the analysed contents of the 1977 Constitution along with 250 copies of the 2011 Constitutional Review Act.
The move to circulate the documents came amidst growing public concern that many citizens are still not familiar with the contents of the 1977 Constitution which is currently in the process of being reviewed. Participants at a recent public dialogue on the new constitution in Ngara welcomed the move and urged district authorities to support the initiative.
